I started tutoring in high school, as I'd always enjoyed helping friends understand difficult concepts. I had an unconventional way of understanding them, which is an advantage over the traditional teaching of "one correct way" to solve problems. I enjoy exploring new approaches that may work better for different students. I tailor my tutoring style to each individual student, as I am well aware that everyone learns differently. When working with a new student, I discuss the student's specific needs, areas to work on, which part of the curriculum they're at, etc. I may also give short assignments if needed.
