Hello everyone, I am Edan! I have always loved math and science, but hated seeing others struggle with the subject.
I started tutoring in high school, helping younger students as well as peers gain a better grasp on their topics, from Algebra 2 and Chemistry to AP Calculus BC and AP Physics. After high school, I went to Brandeis University, where I graduated Sum Laude along with a double major in Physics and Film. Throughout those years, I became knowledgeable in some of the highest levels of mathematics and physics available.
After graduation, I was a Physics teacher for 2 years at both the middle school and AP levels. At the middle school level, I taught the basics of Mechanics and Electricity to 7th and 8th grade students, patiently working in classrooms of 15-20 students to help them understand these subjects. At the AP level, I taught AP Physics C to classes of 5-6 students. Both years, my students had a 100% pass rate on their AP Physics C tests.
While my degree shows my skill in the sciences, my creative background gives me the flexibility to approach it in ways that people may connect with more. I have always had an innate understanding of math and science concepts, but with my more creative background I can make sure to teach them in new and interesting ways.
A constant through my life is my love of teaching others. Nothing makes me feel happier than seeing all the puzzle pieces snap into place, and seeing someone's face light up with understanding. No one will deny that math and science are difficult subjects. But if I sound like the tutor who could creatively turn your confusion into understanding, feel free to contact me and we can set up tutoring lessons for you!
