Bio

I chose a career in medicine because it is an opportunity for me to pursue my interest in human biology while also providing a foundation to serve my community. Last year, my classmate and I started a company that aims to create more sustainable solutions for the healthcare and bio-pharma industries. I chose a career in medicine because it is an opportunity for me to pursue my interest in human biology while also providing a foundation to serve my community. Last year, my classmate and I started a company that aims to create more sustainable solutions for the healthcare and bio-pharma industries. With a little luck, we were given the opportunity to pursue this venture full time. While I am excited to work on a project that stands to impact our global community, I am still interested in the individualized experience of serving members of my local community. I have always enjoyed teaching young people and would love to continue to provide this service.

I was not always a strong student. In fact, math was one of my worst subjects in high school. With a strong support system around me, I was encouraged to challenge myself to improve in this area. In the process of testing different learning modalities, I developed an appreciation of different styles and techniques for understanding difficult concepts. While mathematics became one of my strongest subjects, I believe the experience of struggling early on provided a valuable perspective and gave me an ability to communicate information to students with diverse learning strengths.

Lastly, I have always had a great enthusiasm for learning. I have been told that this relentless curiosity is contagious. I believe that my communication skill set and my love of learning can make math fun for most any student.

I scored in the 97th percentile on my Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT) - 100th percentile in the biochemistry section).

I scored in the 85th percentile on my STEP 1 licensing exam in medical school.

I am excited to partner with students to help them reach their potential and walk away from this partnership with a new love of science and mathematics. I am also more than happy to provide career development advice regarding medical school and the medical profession in general.
