My musical expertise includes playing trumpet for more than 20 years in diverse genres such as jazz, R&B, classical, Latin and world music; performing and recording with some of Israel’s finest artists and bands. In addition, I have over 6 years of teaching experience that consists of teaching trumpet, jazz improvisation, and music theory for all ages, as well as directing ensembles. Other musical expertise of mine includes interning for some of the greatest film scoring studios in LA; composing original music for several short films and a web series; and working as a composer’s assistant.

As a tutor, I try to identify each student's unique challenges and help them achieving their goals by building a personalized plan that is built to their own needs. I especially enjoy it when students look back and see how far they've progressed, and when things that once seemed extremely difficult now seem easy.

Majored in trumpet jazz performance and film scoring.
Experienced in recording, performing, and composing original music.
Styles taught include jazz, classical, Latin, funk, and modern.
20+ years playing and 6+ years teaching experience.

Very knowledgeable and organized lesson

Learning the fundamentals of Cubase. Rotem is very organized and systematic with his approach. It's easy to want to jump ahead and skip over key concepts. A good teacher, as is Rotem, starts at the beginning making sure you're building a good foundation. Excellent experience.

Phenomenal, sophisticated, and patient tutor!

I started my music lessons with Rotem knowing next to nothing about music composition - I was starting from scratch with Cubase, music theory, and piano. Through weekly lessons, I was able to learn the fundamentals necessary to start my journey into composing a soundtrack for a video game I am working on. This was a goal of mine that I brought to Rotem's attention in our first lesson, to which he tailored our subsequent lessons around to ensure that I was on the right path with the instruments I used and music that we studied. I highly recommend Rotem as a music tutor for any and all music composition goals that you may have.

Expert and patient

Excellent expert at Pro Tools, the world's most clunky unfriendly non-intuitive DAW but somehow is most used in the music and film industry. Its impossible to learn without a tutor, ive tried for 3 yrs with classes and i only learn when Rotem helps me. He is excellent and I will continue to study with him as long as possible

Excellent so far

Rotem was right on time, friendly, but got right into it. He was clear, patient and enthusiastic. He also knows the intimate details of Pro Tools, and covered a lot of ground quickly. Highly recommend.

Great first lesson

He was able to introduce himself, assess my interest and levels and then work with me to go a step further...all in the first lesson. Great first lesson. I am excited about learning more.
