Teaching is a passion to me. I graduated from Wash U in St. Louis with a degree in Mathematics, making the Dean's List my Senior Year. Returning to LA as Center Director of Mathnasium in Beverly Hills I managed the curriculum for more than 100 students K-12. I'm now a full-time private tutor with students from K through Grad School.

I offer classes at every level from basic Math to college Calculus (I, II, and III) - and every step along the way: Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Pre-Calculus. I can also help prepare for standardized tests including the SAT, ACT, GRE, and GMAT.

My K-12 students come from every major public and private HS in Southern California - including Archer, Brentwood, Crossroads, Harvard-Westlake, Marlborough, Marymount, Notre Dame, Oakwood, Pali, Willows, and Windward. On the East Coast, such schools as Stuyvesant, Beacon, and Phillips Andover Academy.

I tutor university students from the Ivy League, Big 10 and state schools including Dartmouth, NYU, UCLA, USC, U Miami, U Michigan, U Minnesota, Lehigh, and College of Charleston.

Understanding is as vital to my process as achievement. While there is repetition and hard work, I always include some laughs and make sure every student is comfortable and confident as they learn. I love meeting new people. Please reach out and let's get started immediately.

I highly recommend James

James is a terrific tutor and works hard to customize his tutoring content to individual student needs. He helped my son with Calculus II by understanding where my son was having difficulty and then walking him through typical problems and solution sets for precisely the areas in which my son was being challenged. I highly recommend James based on his consultative style and his focus on bringing the student the exact content that will help the most.
