Passionate in creating art. My goal is to assist students to discover and identify their creative process. My goal as an artist and as a teacher is to promote free thinking and risk taking to really create an emotional experience during the process of making art.
I encourage and educate students to try using and getting to understand a variety of materials. Not limiting their creative potential.
I have taught three years of adult women's painting sessions. And taught children between 5th and 9th grade fine art at David Dweck summer camp in NJ. I studied Studio Art and Psychology at NYU. And have been a part of an Artist Collective at the Ramaz school in NYC for 3 years; led by an accomplished artist and educator of over 20 years.
I am a working artist and use mixed media in my work and with my students. I have worked at Blick Art materials on Beverly Blvd advising customers on specific art products and helping guide them with their projects. Gaining even more knowledge on what products and materials are available to us.
I love people and am very easy to communicate with. I am a mother of two daughters and have experience working with young children as well as adults.
I am dedicated to the education of art and to discovering the creativity all people possess. I enjoy teaching people to be open minded and express themselves artistically. I find joy in learning from my students and teaching them what I know.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
