Dear potential students,
French is my mother tongue, and I'm ready to help you improve your skills in that beautiful yet difficult language. Teaching a language when you're from the country where it is spoken allows you to share your culture, the same way I've been learning about American culture for many years now by speaking English. Sharing cultures is part of my own family story, having also British, Spanish and Italian origins.
I have taught English to some students in France and I now offer French tutoring in Los Angeles. I know it's a hard language, pronunciation can give you a headache and what about all of these spelling exceptions! That's why the most important part, I think, is to have fun while learning, using music for example, or other pieces of art (French culture has plenty of that!) to get to speak Molière's language (Molière was a well-known 17th century playwright).
It also depends on what you're looking for, and how you like to learn, of course. You let me know what your priorities are (writing, speaking, etc.) and I will adjust to them. In the end, the efforts are worth the rewards that knowing French will bring you. And be sure that my educational background as well as my experience as a writer for major French national media, are a guarantee of the quality of my tutoring.
So please feel free to contact me to try !

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
