Attending UCLA (Mechanical Engineeri)
I am a fourth-year student in the Mechanical Engineering department and a research assistant at the UCLA Bionics Lab directed by Dr. Jacob Rosen. The research lab specializes in the development and optimization of surgical and rehabilitation robots. I am particularly interested in the ways in which exoskeleton medical robots could enhance the quality of life for the impaired population and how exoskeleton biorobots could assist humans through strength amplification.
Outside of academics, I represent UCLA on the Men's ice hockey team and serve as the assistant captain and volunteer as the team treasurer. I am also a grader for the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering department and an experienced tutor for lower division math and engineering courses. I have experience with teaching and facilitating review sessions for calculus and physics courses.
I am looking to pursue at least a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering and extend my knowledge and research experience with biomechanics and biomedical robotics.
Received A in Single Variable Calculus, Multivariable Calculus, Linear Algebra, and Differential Equations courses at UCLA. Received A+ in Engineering Mathematics course at UCLA
Have received A's for all lower division and upper division physics and mechanical engineering courses at UCLA. My UCLA major field GPA sits at 3.925
I have a genuine passion for teaching and have voluntarily helped my peers, classmates, and students throughout my college career. Feel free to contact me about anything: study strategies, pre-exam preparation techniques, time management, applying for college, engineering-student opportunities...etc. I am a fourth-year student in the Mechanical Engineering department and a research assistant at the UCLA Bionics Lab directed by Dr. Jacob Rosen. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I received an A in the differential equations course (MATH 33B) offered by UCLA. This course covered first-order differential equations and second-order differential equations with constant coefficients; power series solutions; and linear systems. Extra emphasis was placed on "mixing problems" and the variation of parameters technique for solving both first-order and second-order ODEs. In addition to the MATH 33B course, I also received an A+ in Engineering Mathematics (MAE 182A), which expanded on the course content in MATH 33B with further discussion of power series solutions and Laplace transforms.
I am a 4th year Mechanical Engineering major at UCLA with a major field GPA of 3.925. I have received A's in all mechanical engineering courses so far at UCLA including statics and strength of material, dynamics of particles and rigid bodies, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, mechanisms, engineering mathematics, controls, programming, and computer-aided design.
