At age eighteen, I became the youngest TA in the language department at my university. Several years later, I became a certified Persian Instructor for native and non-native speakers at the Dehkhoda Language Institute in Tehran.
In addition, my students range between the ages of thirteen and forty-five. I am currently teaching intermediate level Persian at UCLA but have experience teaching different learning groups.
I am a Persian Instructor at UCLA, an active instructor at STARTALK and also a private tutor. My degrees are in History General and Persian Literature.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Having studied general history and political science as my B.A. at the University of Paris (Paris Sorbonne IV), I'm very well-versed in world historical events, their causes and their outcomes. Students must learn that world history is more than memorizing dates; history is how people make connections and avoid future failure.
