Recent performance credits include Strephon in Iolanthe, Editor Webb in Ned Rorems' operatic adaptation of Our Town, and Jupiter in Orphée aux enfers. I have had the pleasure to sing under the direction of several world class conductors, including Joseph Flummerfelt, Daniel Harding, John Kennedy, Joe Miller, Hahm Shin-Ik, and Steven Sloane.

I have been teaching voice for the past ten years now, maintaining an active private studio as well as teaching in several private music schools in NJ, OH and NY. My favorite thing as a teacher/tutor is seeing the look on a students face when they overcome an obstacle, and realize just how easy a task can be with proper technique.

I received a minor in French whilst studying voice in my undergraduate.

I have been teaching for several years now, and have two degrees in Voice Performance, as well as a good deal of performance experience.

Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions about lessons.

Music History

I have a Master of Music from Westminster Choir College in Voice Performance and Pedagogy and a Bachelor of Music from Baldwin Wallace Conservatory of Music in Voice Performance. In school, I studied the history of western classical music from the ages of antiquity to the present day practices. As an active performer, it is also my duty to the audience and myself to be informed of historical practices and references within the music, in order to provide a compelling and accurate performance. I continuously find myself going back to my music history notes and books to better understand why the composers chose to write the music the way they did and also how their environment was affecting their music making at the time.

Voice (Music)

Voice (Music)

I have a Master of Music from Westminster Choir College in Voice Performance and Pedagogy and a Bachelor of Music from Baldwin Wallace Conservatory of Music in Voice Performance. I have been teaching voice for 10 years, in both my private studio and also several private music schools in NJ, OH and CA. I have extensive stage and choral experience, including several years of performances with Spoleto Festival USA. Such venues I have performed in include the Kimmel Center for the Arts, Avery Fisher Hall (now David Geffen Hall) and the United Nations General Assembly Hall. I have sung under the batons of world famous conductors, including Joseph Flummerfelt, Daniel Harding, John Kennedy, Joe Miller, Hahm Shin-Ik, and Steven Sloane. I teach voice using historically tested and scientifically proven pedagogical methods, primarily based off of the Bel Canto style of singing. Through the establishment of proper posture, breath support, breath management, phonation, articulation, registration and resonance, I teach students how to create and maintain a healthy and sustainable vocal production; which can be used for both classical and contemporary singing.
