My tutoring experience comes from helping my friends' and neighbors' children with English and math and from working as a Graduate Assistant at the university while earning my MBA. I find it rewarding and enjoyable- sharing my knowledge and seeing others advance thanks to it. I like working one on one.
Math: My math knowledge comes from earning Master's degree in power engineering. I am ready to work with elementary and middle school students. Depending on the needs, I will set up the plan of the lessons, and problems, addressing the weak sides.
Russian language: I do not have a Russian language teacher diploma. I am just a native Russian speaker, who likes her language and notices mistakes in speech or writing easily and therefore can correct them successfully. I am the best fit for those, who are looking to start learning the language or are at elementary to intermediate level. I follow the student's needs and can set up a lesson so that it is only conversational practice or it's a mix of grammar exercises, new vocabulary, reading and listening and subsequent analysis. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
