I am an outgoing individual with a passion for Psychology and the helping professions. I believe that Psychology and metal health related professions are becoming increasingly necessary to deal with the high demands of our fast paced societal reality.
It has always been a desire of mine to assist those who are beginning their academic training to pursue a degree in Psychology or any other social services profession. I believe it makes a special type of individual to learn, understand, and apply the core foundation and knowledge of the helping professions and it honors me to help people maximize their potential. I was inspired by a college professor to become a Psychologist after witnessing his drive, passion, and commitment to the profession. I would like to pay it forward by inspiring others to fully commit to becoming the best Psychologists they can be.
I am a highly motivated and outgoing Bilingual (Spanish/English) Clinical Psychologist with a PsyD degree from an APA-accredited program. I also completed an APA-accredited internship at a non profit in the metro Los Angeles area. After obtaining my degree, I have worked as a staff psychologist at a non-profit child welfare/trauma informed agency in Los Angeles. During this time, I have trained and gained experience in using different treatment modalities as well as evidence-based practices.
If you wish to maximize your learning experience in your Psychology courses, learn better ways to apply key concepts, and benefit from the knowledge gained through work experience, contact me. I have a flexible schedule and it would be my pleasure to help you have a positive experience and outcome in your Psychology classes. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have a PsyD degree in Clinical Psychology from an APA-accredited institution. I also completed an APA-accredited predoctoral internship. After graduation, I completed 3 years of work experience as a staff psychologist at a large non-profit child welfare agency.
