I scored a 527 on the Medical College Admissions Test, a 100th percentile score, in September 2020. I received perfect marks (132/132) on the Physics/Chemistry, Bio/Biochemistry, and Psychology/Sociology portions of the exam and 131/132 on CARS. I first took the MCAT in 2014 and scored in the 91st percentile overall. I have been teaching the MCAT since 2016 and worked as a professional MCAT Tutor for 2 years, from 2016 to 2018.

I am a graduate of UC Santa Barbara where I received a Bachelor of Science in Biopsychology and a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies, with an emphasis in South Asian religions. I have been tutoring professionally for 8 years now and I have been teaching MCAT prep, SAT prep, ACT prep, Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Micro and Macrobiology, Organic Chemistry, and English (essay writing, reading comprehension, and grammar).

Rather than focusing on the memorization of facts and formulas, I emphasize a mechanistic perspective when teaching math and science. I find it much easier for a student to learn and retain information when they understand how the data fits into a rational system. This style of learning consequently prepares students to better learn complex information in the future.

Additionally, in high school I scored a 33 on the ACT (99th percentile) and a 2160 on the SAT (98th percentile).

In my free time, I enjoy writing and playing music. I have been playing piano and guitar for 12 years now and I love teaching music theory and musicianship as well.
