Hello everyone. My name is Katrina B. and I am a Music Producer/Singer/Songwriter/Musician. My first instrument that I learned to play was the flute. I have been playing the flute for 13 years. I have been singing for 20 years, been a songwriter for 10 years, and a Music Producer for 10 years. I have experience with tutoring in the past.
I tutored a few children from my church in the drum/percussion department. I've also tutored children at a Daycare that I used to work at (Brown's Family Daycare) in playing the flute. I love tutoring people because I love seeing the look on people's faces when they begin making progress with their craft. It makes me happy to see others happy with their progress and I get pride from of the students learning from my teaching.
I've been playing my instruments for a long period of time. I am self-taught with the majority of my instruments. I am versatile when it comes to making music and playing instruments. I have the ability to pick up an instrument and learn it. I listen to all kinds of music so we can work on whatever it is you'd like to learn/ work our way up to it.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have been playing the drums for 6 years. I have been playing for a church of 300 people for 3 years. I've tutored students between ages 5 and 17 on how to play drums. We go over certain patterns (to start off, 4/4 beat/ four on the floor). I have been told that my teaching methods have been beneficial to a lot of people because I let them choose a song that they would like to learn and if it's something that is unrealistic for them to achieve at the time, then I will have them work up to it.
I have been playing the flute for 13 years. I also play the piccolo. I have helped students develop the correct embouchure that was necessary to get a full sound from the flute which is a woodwind instrument. I have been affiliated with bands for 8 years. I am an alumni of the Knight High School Wind Ensemble who places 1st place 2 years in a row in the competition. I like to bend the rules and teach students to use their ears and try to imitate what they hear on the radio or in their favorite song. it teaches note accuracy, perfect pitch, and the ability to pay attention to the little things which can also be applied to their personal lives.
I have been producing music for 10 years. I am knowledgeable in Reason 4, 6, & 7, Logic Pro X, and intermediate level in Protools. My main DAW is now Logic. I've produced 2 full length studio albums one of which has won 2 awards; one being Rising star in the Black Women in Jazz awards and the GHP VMA award for best RnB song. I've produced well over 250 songs in my lifetime (both complete and incomplete).
I have co-song wrote on 1 studio album by Rina and fully wrote on an album by Ka'trina Bryant. I've song wrote a few singles also which are available upon request.
I've been singing for 20 years. I've had a lot of practice with singing because of my mother who is a professional singer. I went on to assist the choir director at Zoe Ministries to vocal produce and coach the singers. I also had a part in vocal producing for two studio albums.
