My passion for teaching and tutoring reflects my love for people. As a graduate with a Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies and as a future Ph. D candidate, I value the importance of hard work, great study, and practice. I also appreciate the idea of making the journey of learning and self-improvement quite fun. My teaching and tutoring philosophy not only includes academics, but will also include important life lessons to be applied for gaining wisdom. What I love about tutoring is that it gives me the opportunity to give to others like many others gave to me. Their time, effort, and passion for my success helped me to become a better student and a better person.
I have experience in teaching and tutoring. My experiences consists of volunteer work as an assistant teacher and leading lectures and group discussions in both classroom settings and one-on-one sessions. I graduated high school with academic honors, earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a Student-Athlete Award as a collegiate athlete, and a Master of Arts degree.
I've had the honor to travel to multiple countries including Mexico, South Africa, Mozambique, and Ghana to serve. Such services included teaching English as a second language to the native peoples of their respected lands. The teaching methods included teaching through normal conversation, social & verbal communication, and reading. As a result, these people and I are able to break social barriers and embrace each other more easily. We are also able to learn from each other and help each other grow more knowledgeable and wiser in our communities.
For native English speakers, I've demonstrated the importance of reading. I've emphasized reading to both youth (teenagers) and young adults ages (18-35) in classroom and private settings. Such methods included learning how to read, how to understand words, and being able to understand the context (meaning) of paragraphs written. This helps us to think, understand, and speak better than before.
I have faith in Christ Jesus and I love and follow Him. It is my humbled privilege to have served in Christian Ministry well over five years. This is a special calling on my life and I responded to this calling by enduring theological graduate study from one of the most prestigious theological seminaries in North America. This particular seminary is known as Asbury Theological Seminary, where I earned my Master of Arts degree in Intercultural Studies.
For years I have taught Biblical Studies through classroom lectures and private group discussions. Soon I will engage into the Christian Education Teacher's Training Program at my church.
I was a college basketball player during my undergraduate studies. For over twenty years, I engaged myself in basketball as an watcher, player, and volunteer coach to both kids and youth. I love this sport and appreciate the opportunity to have learned the fundamentals of it. It is also an honor to have competed competitively alongside my life-long friend/NBA superstar Russell Westbrook.
It would be my humbled pleasure to engage quality time with those that are willing to learn with me. The objective is that we can learn from each other and help each other grow as learners and develop as individuals. I am glad to travel to private locations or some public areas within the Hesperia area for sessions. I promise to do the best that I can do for the student(s) convenience.
I would love to serve and assist students to achieve greater success and exceed expectations. Greetings,

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
After more than twenty years of deeply participating in basketball as a player, assistant coach, and tutor of it, I am able to teach, train, and encourage all those that are interested in learning the fundamentals of basketball and reveal the joy it can bring. Basketball has taught me a lot about life, hard work, and responsibility. I would love to enhance the life lessons basketball possesses.
