My name is Rodolfo "Rod" and I am a veteran Public Relations, Corporate Communication and Media professional, with over 25 years of experience, garnered from leading and prestigious multinational and local institutions and projects.

In the world of the academe, I have taught college Communication Courses (including Public Relations and Marketing) for seven years as a Part-Time Instructor at the Department of Communication of Miriam College in the Philippines. Additionally, I taught briefly at the Communication Department at my alma mater, the Ateneo de Manila University – Loyola School of Sciences (also in the Philippines), where I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication. Furthermore, I have lectured on various communication subjects at numerous professional communication seminars, training courses, workshops and conferences around the Asia-Pacific Region.

Highly-skilled in English, both in the written and spoken word, I have over the years trained and personally coached not only my numerous college students on intermediate communication skills, but also business leaders and executives in my areas of expertise, which include: Public Speaking, Speech Writing, Business Writing/Correspondence and Presentations, Editing/Editorial Work for Company Newsletters and Publications, and Media Training for Press Interviews. I have also provided the following support services to my various employers: proofreading, grammar correction and syntax/structure improvement for their communication and collateral materials (employee manuals, training modules, brochures, posters, etc.); and have served as a company spokesman for media/press work, public speaking engagements and corporate presentations.

As a multi-faceted, multi-talented communication and media practitioner, I have also been a professional voice-over talent, live event host/emcee, commercial model and actor, having performed in numerous television dramas and stage plays in the Philippines. I have always been passionate about everything that I have learned and done, and am very excited to share my broad range of knowledge and expertise with students and working professionals alike. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Throughout my work experience across more than 10 employers, I have been engaged in numerous public speaking , formal presentations and media/press interviews for the various companies and organizations where I worked. Among my key or core functions in these jobs was being the Official Spokesman for these entities. I also conducted media training for my superiors and fellow executives at these firms, along with editing and publishing their Corporate Newsletters/Magazines.

In addition, as a Part-Time Communication Teacher at Miriam College for over seven years and the Ateneo Loyola Schools (both in the Philippines), I also developed and enhanced the public speaking and presentation skills of hundreds of undergraduate college students, while teaching basic Public Relations and Marketing Courses. If needed, I can provide physical credentials to certify the above.
