I passed my teaching internship at the Yerevan based secondary school, where I had a chance to practice my teaching skills of the Russian Language and Literature and the English Language. I have several years of tutoring experience of the Russian Language and the English to the prospective university students, which included extensive classes of the Phonetics, the Grammar, the Spelling, the Syntax, Stylistics and Vocabulary of the given languages, developing their speaking, reading and writing skills, preparing them for oral and written state entrance examinations to the relevant university departments.
In the course of my teaching experience, I put the stress of teaching the program of the given educational institution I worked at or the educational guidelines and requirements issues by the Ministry of Education of Armenia each year for the entrance examinations.
Of course, I also applied a bit of creative touch to my teaching practice, involving studying some material that wasn't included in the school program or in the entrance exam tests or questionaries. In particular, I delivered as lectures on the History of Russian Art, Theatre and Cinema, presenting the most outstanding pieces of the Russian culture to my students. This approach had a tremendous effect on most of my students, who were much more motivated to learn more about the Russian culture in general which they continued studying on their own even after having completed their courses with me. I organized a number of visits to the Russian Art Museum in Yerevan, to study pieces by such classical Russian artists, as well as a number of screenings and discussions of classical Russian films and theatrical pieces.
I also have a rich translation experience, being employed as a Russian and English language translator at several news agencies in Armenia. I am currently trying my hand in literary translation, preparing for publication my translation of a series of fairy tales “Hegdehog in the Fog” by Sergei Kozlov and “Omon Ra” the novel by Victor Pelevin from Russian into Armenia.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have received an MA degree in Russian Language and Literature and English from the Yerevan State Linguistic University after V. Bryusov, and I have attended post-graduate program in the Comparative Literature at the M. Abeghian Institute of Literature at the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia. I have both tutoring experience in Russian Language and Literature and English and rich experience in translations.
