After studying education and practicing teaching over the course of the past three years, I feel comfortable and happy with students. This past summer, I taught ESL at the prestigious English Language Center. In 2011, I student-taught AP and honors classes in Hamilton High School’s Humanities Magnet, which was then LAUSD’s best academic program. This has made me strong and confident with a range of high school students. Teaching a postgraduate course at the downtown non-profit The Public School in 2011 made me familiar with college-aged students. I additionally taught a college-level, discussion-based course at Hampshire College in 2013.

I concentrated in English at Hampshire college, graduated with honors and wrote a novel for my thesis. I took workshops in the MFA program at UMass Amherst while still an undergraduate student. I worked personally with the director of UMass Amherst's MFA Program for Poet's and writers, Noy Holland. This is the fourth best MFA program for poetry nationally.

I additionally took writing classes at UCLA Extension for a total of seven quarters. My studies ensures a strong grasp of grammar and passion for the English language. Studying improvisational comedy over the course of the past 10 years makes for dynamic and engaging classes.
