Hello, my name is Justin and I'm here to teach math.
As a student, I earned my degree in Mathematics. As a professional, I have worked in education as both a tutor and a teacher. I have been tutoring since 2003, and I have been a full time math teacher for 5 years. I know as a teacher that some students get left behind in a classroom setting, and I know as a tutor that everybody makes progress in a one-on-one setting when they want to.
To be good at math you need practice. I will provide that practice as we go through as many examples as we need, and I will explain everything that happens as we go along.
Let's keep it simple. Let's learn. Hello, my name is Justin and I'm here to teach math.

After many tutors, we finally found Justin. He has helped my daughter understand pre-calculus when her teacher and other tutors could not. He is patient, and if my daughter doesn't understand how he is teaching, he finds another way of explaining so she gets it. He has made her almost enjoy practicing her math problems. Thank you, Justin!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
Aside from a degree in Mathematics, I have worked patiently with young students in elementary school to help them develop a strong foundation in math. Although my teaching credential is for middle/high school, I have seen the gaps in learning that commonly occur in elementary math. I target these weak areas to ensure that students are equipped to be successful once they reach the algebra level.
Using my degree in Mathematics and my Secondary Teaching Credential, I have taught Geometry in a public school setting for 2 years. I have also successfully tutored the subject for 10 years with various students, seeing strong progress in their work and grades.
With a degree in Mathematics and a secondary teaching credential, I am well qualified to tutor Prealgebra. As a full time teacher, I have taught Algebra 1 in public school for 5 years. This experience has shown me all the skills and topics that students need to be successful in their next class and beyond.
I have a BS degree in Mathematics. I have a Secondary Teaching Credential. I have 10 years tutoring experience and 5 years teaching experience.
I am well qualified to tutor Trigonometry because I have a BS degree in Mathematics. I also hold a secondary teaching credential, which qualifies me to teach the class in a public school setting. My 10 years' experience in tutoring has shown that I am able to communicate well with students about trigonometry.
