“**Excellent Algebra Tutor! Nicolas Is a Math Whiz!**”

I graduated from the University of California Santa Barbara. During my freshman year of high school, I started helping my peers understand math concepts. That is when I realized that not only did I have a knack for tutoring, but also, I enjoyed it. While at UCSB I worked as a math and physics tutor at the drop-in room for the Campus Learning

Nicolas is a GREAT tutor! I'm so happy I found him. I had to learn a lot in a short amount of time for an algebra test. I passed thanks to Nicolas's help! He is easy to work with, patient, good at explaining things, and he knows his math! With Nicolas you can relax and know you have an expert helping you. He is very patient, friendly, supportive, and easy to work with. He's also super smart and knows how to write out problems that you are struggling with so you can practice more. He definitely has a talent for tutoring!

Nicolas has been amazing helping my son. He has been coming for six lessons already and my son feels very confident after his lesson. He has been helping him with pre-calculus. I will definitely use his services again in the future. Nicolas is very knowledgeable and a very respectful person.

Nicolas was very friendly and patient. She arrived on time, answered emails promptly, had a good command of the subject, and could teach in a way that was easy and simple enough for a struggling student like myself to understand. He helped me grasp the general equations of first and second order differentials and integration. His teaching pacing was good for me as a beginner calculus student. I would use him again.

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I tutored students with ADD/ADHD one-on-one at the University of California Santa Barbara for 1 1/2 years. I tutored them in Physics and Math. I was very patient even when they got frustrated and discouraged and helped them understand the concepts.

I have been tutoring students privately in algebra 1 for 6 years now. I focus on helping the student reach true comprehension of all the concepts necessary to learn the material. If a concept hasn't solidly been grasped by the student, I will take them back to it and help them understand it.

I have completed vector calculus courses at the University of California Santa Barbara (UCSB).

Additionally, I tutored students for the Campus Learning Assistance Services (CLAS) at UCSB in calculus for 1 1/2 years. I help students understand all the concepts in order to enable them to complete their homework and do well on their tests.

I took Math at the University of California Santa Barbara up to Ordinary Differential Equations. I tutored students on Differential Equations for 1 1/2 years for the Campus Learning Assistance Services (CLAS) at UCSB. I helped students understand the concepts in their textbooks so that they could complete their homework and do well on the tests.

I majored in English at the University of California Santa Barbara. I have been helping students of all ages and levels with English for the past 6 years now. I find it best to get the student to think through the material on their own before I begin guiding them toward the answer.

I took Vector Calculus up to Differential Equations at the University of California Santa Barbara. I tutored students in linear algebra for 1 1/2 years for the Campus Learning Assistance Services (CLAS) at UCSB. I help students understand the concepts in their textbook so that they can complete their homework and do well on their tests.

I earned my minor in physics at the University of California Santa Barbara (UCSB). UCSB has a top 10 nationally ranked physics undergraduate program. I tutored students in physics for the Campus Learning Assistance Services at UCSB for 1 1/2 years. I focus on helping students fully understand the concepts in order to solve their homework problems on their own. This, in turn, helps them perform well on their tests.

I have been helping students of all ages with reading for the past 6 years. Increasing confidence in reading comes from going slow, making sure your student gets the basics (phonics) down, and giving he or she a chance to use their imagination to have fun with reading (books with pictures work well for this depending on his or her level). Reading is critical to learning and life, and I very much enjoy helping students learn this crucial skill.

I have been tutoring students in trigonometry for the past 3 years. I always make sure he or she has the basics down before moving on to the more complicated concepts in their class. Trigonometry can be tricky, but my students have a high success rate after our tutoring sessions together.
