Music History

My music history knowledge is vast due to the amount of time and study I've devoted to the subject for school. I graduated from Berklee College of Music in May as a Music Education major, and I have completed required courses in Music History and have passed the MTEL for music, which is a major hurdle in making sure musicians have adequate knowledge for a teaching license. As a Music Education Major, I have studied accurate recital techniques for different time periods in music history as well. I am an experienced teacher and am very patient as well, making me an ideal candidate for a tutor in music history.

Piano

Piano

I have been playing piano for 14 years and have reached a fairly advanced level. Although I am not as proficient at piano as I am at drums, I could teach students beginner and intermediate students without any problems. I was a Music Education major at Berklee College of Music, and as such I had to take 5 semesters of piano classes and pass a proficiency test in order to graduate. Previous to my experience at Berklee, I was privately instructed on piano since the second grade, so I am well qualified to teach young piano students.

Wonderful teacher

William has been an amazing piano instructor for my twelve year old son. His comprehensive approach encompasses theory, technique, and a solid grounding in the classics, plus sober but encouraging feedback. My son has thrived under his tutelage this year and we hope William will keep teaching for many years to come! Thank you William.

Highly Impressed!

We're highly impressed by the first lesson! It was an excellent start. William quickly figured out how to connect with my son, invoking an excitement to learn the basics as well as the fun parts. My son expressed the desire to have longer lessons coming up, which says it all! UPDATE: I'm continuing to be impressed with Billy's teaching skills! He sends tutorial videos to reinforce what was learned in each lesson. My son has informed me that Billy is "the best piano teacher ever". I'm really enjoying this enthusiasm!!! UPDATE: Taking joy in the enthusiasm my son continues to express in his piano lesson. Thank you, Billy!
