I have a PhD from UCLA, as an undergrad and grad I engaged in many disciplines across the humanities. At UCLA, I was a Teacher's Assistant (TA), which allowed me to learn to teach and to run 6 classes: I received very high marks on feedback from the students. I have also taught undergrads and grads at a top 10 (in CA.) private college. I have also been a teacher's fellow at UCLA's CSW (2010-11).
I taught history, visual and cultural studies, and English. I was awarded Teacher of the Year. Finally, I designed one of first online English and history courses. Online, my dedication to teaching continued, and I am very proud of creating an online courses that were and are, effective and rewarding to the students taking them -- from Los Angeles, to New York City, to Seoul, South Korea.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I was awarded as Teacher of the Year and Mentor of the Year at Otis College. I have extensive teaching in art and theory -- as well as philosophical ideas and art. I know you will come to a much clearer understanding after the first two sessions.
Having a PhD / doctorate in art history (UCLA), is not only the historical study of art, but also a writing intensive discipline. One must learn how to write (and research) well. I have published several art reviews and had have published in academic journal and anthologies. I am very well trained to aid, and teach, someone grammar -- as well as other aspects of English. I have passed all examinations to do so.
I have passed all related and specific examinations to tutor in this area, and I have taught Latin and Pre-Colombian art -- as well as colonial studies. During My MA studies at UCR, I worked with a world renowned Latin and Pre-Colombian art historian and archaeologist. Under his guidance, I spent one year TA-ing (being a teacher's assistant), teaching three lecture and discussion classes.
