I have worked as an electrical engineer, chemist, materials scientist, physicist, nanotechnologist, consultant, software programmer, and handyman. I enjoy learning and spreading knowledge and strive to help students not only learn the subjects they are studying but actually become passionate and motivated about them. I am a graduate of both the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and University of Southern California. My passion for learning and teaching so many subjects comes from my love of nanotechnology which is multi-disciplinary by nature.
I have taken the SAT, SAT II, GRE, and several AP exams and am very familiar with standardized testing. My approach to tests is to alleviate test anxiety and give tips and skills to allow test takers to have the maximum amount of time on their exams and improve their scores.
I also ran a successful campaign for student body president (ASB) and can provide sure-fire tips to win the hearts and minds of your classmates for an unforgettable leadership experience. Mr.Rajay is a excellent tutor, as a student in game programming, he broke down the essential ways of programming to me where I could understand. As a dyslexic it takes time for me to understand certain complex things but he sits down and breaks it down one on one and also draws it out if your a visual person.
I don't regret hiring him as a tutor. I will refer him to all my programmers if they need help too.
Rajay covered three weeks of material in under an hour, and my son's comment was that he not only understood the material, but also that he now understands physics! My son said that Rajay explains everything in terms tailored to the student's clearest way of learning. Earlier this evening my son left for the session thinking that he might fail his upcoming test and a short while later he came home glowing! I'd highly recommend that you contact this tutor.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have obtained a certificate in technology commercialization from the USC Marshall School of Business. While at USC, I took classes related to intellectual property law, management of cross-functional teams, mock startups, and new ventures. Using that knowledge, I have started my own business related to consulting and education-oriented video games. I have been a part of several startup companies and taken an active role within them. I have read up on modern business practices, including "The Lean Startup."
I have been programming in C# actively for the past 3 years and have programmed in a similar language, Java, since the year 2000. I currently work in Unity, using C#, for both my day job and side project.
I got a 5 on the Calculus BC AP test and have done very well at calculus courses at MIT. I can explain it in a way that makes it way easier than you think! This is my favorite subject to teach.
