About Fabrizio

Hello!

I am Fabrizio, a PhD student in Economics at University of Southern California.
I have been working as a Teaching Assistant for the Department of Economics at University of Southern California since 2015.

I have been tutoring successfully Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Probability, Statistics, Econometrics and Calculus all at college level.

If you need an extra hand to ace the SAT or the GRE, look no further!
I scored a 168 in both Verbal (98%) and Quantitative (95%) of the GRE.
I took also the SAT, and got 750 in the Math section (97%) and a 670 in the Verbal/Reading section (92%).

I have worked as a tutor since I was in high school, in 1:1 sessions as well as in classroom environment, with class sizes ranging from 3 to 10 people.

Tutoring is my passion, because I feel that teaching and helping students find their way out of difficulties is something very rewarding for itself. If I had not to pay the bills and college expenses, I would do it for free.

I really believe in tutoring as a way to improve your grades in the short term, and as a long term investment to set a completely new point of view about studying. In fact, learning should always be an easy and pleasant experience for everyone, because it is one of the most beautiful activities that one can engage in.

My experience as a tutor makes me very comfortable about my skills. All my students always managed to improve their grades, and the great majority of them found a new inspiration and new energy to put into their study.

I really believe that tutoring should work in both finding an effective solution for urgent problems with grades and homework, and in conveying a new spirit toward school and learning in general.

If you will contact me, you will be glad with the result we will achieve together. If you want to succeed in your goal, then you will find in me someone who is more focused on it than anyone else.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Algebra 1

Algebra 1 is mainly focused on concepts like polynomials and matrices, creation and application of linear functions and relations, algebraic representations of geometric relationships. Some programs involve also an introduction to nonlinear functions.

Whether you like it or not, Math is essentially a hard subject.
The first step is to not feel scared or anxious about it. Students often stop here, and refuse to think that they are able to succeed. But with my help, they eventually managed to master the basic mechanisms and some of them went to study Math & Science in college.

Algebra 2

Algebra 2 involve basic concepts such as equations and inequalities, the coordinate system and functions of multiple variables. Some programs provide a brief introduction to logarithmic functions and other concepts of higher-level math that provides the basis of calculus and other advanced math topics.

Econometrics

I am a PhD student in Economics at University of Southern California. I took and passed with high grades all the required Econometrics classes.
As you can see from this link, I had to pass 2 different advanced level classes on Statistics and Econometrics, and was tested on it on my qualifying exam:
http://dornsife.usc.edu/econ/program-requirements/

Furthermore, I do use Econometrics daily in my current research.

Philosophy

Philosophy is thw way we live, and what do we think about it. I earned a BA in philosophy with the maximum grade and I will always be happy to share some of the things I learned with you. Even though you are searching to fix your grades, you cannot help bringing home something more than that. That is philosophy.

Physics

I earned a BS in Physics and I will be very happy to let you find your way through this beautiful subject.

Great Tutor! — My son has progressed greatly with these 10 hours sessions he's had with Fabrizio. He's a great tutor, very patient and explains everything until my son understands. My son is now much more confident in doing his math HW on his own, his grades have gone up significantly. I would highly recommend Fabrizio to other students. We are very much satisfied. ...
