The University of Connecticut (PhD)
Hi! My name is Peter P., and I would like to specialize in tutoring in biology and math, especially AP biology and college level biology classes, including upper division biology classes. I have an undergraduate degree in molecular and cell biology (with emphasis in immunology) from UC Berkeley and a PhD from the University of Connecticut.
I have tutored in the past, covering everything from precalculus to ESL, although in the past few years I've focused primarily on biology. I'm currently working as the chief science officer for LEI, a small program that focuses on teaching science to health care professionals.
Thank you, and I hope to hear from you soon. Hi! My name is Peter P., and I would like to specialize in tutoring in biology and math, especially AP biology and college level biology classes, including upper division
Peter is really great tutor. He explained the materials (AP Biology) clearly to my son and give him questions to make sure that my son really understood what he taught. He is patient too.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I received a 36 on my MCAT when I took it. Also I have a ph.d in genetics and developmental biology. While I'm well versed in all the material on the MCAT. I would very much like to tutor the biological sciences section of the MCAT. Thank you very much for you time and I hope to hear from you soon!
