Ashford University (current MAED student) (MBA)
I have been tutoring and teaching classes for many years now and I have learned through the years to adapt my teaching according to a student's needs and abilities. I started in Berlitz Language Centers in Pasadena. Their children's program had just started and I was trained to go to schools and teach Spanish using their methods. With time I was hired directly by schools. One of them was Saint Martin of Tours in Brentwood and the other Carlthorp school in Santa Monica.
I had the chance to tutor many children during those years as well. I also taught yoga principles in Los Angeles public schools for almost two years. I enjoy helping children to move forward in school. Please allow me to help you or your child. I am patient and like what I do. If you are ready to learn I am ready to help you.
I am now getting my BA in Social Science with Education Concentration and enjoy everything I learn because it's helping me become a better teacher and communicator. I know I can help you; please contact me via WyzAnt.

Kamila is a lovely teacher for my children. She is open to collaborating regarding the children's curriculum and lesson development with the parent. Also, she comes up with creative ways of teaching Spanish to them.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I want to help children and adults with basic knowledge in English. They need to learn and practice, and I can help them. I have been a teacher for many years, mostly teaching Spanish, Yoga and Art. As a good teacher I have a pretty good idea what the student needs, and how to help. I am finishing my 4 year degree in Social Science and Education Concentration.
Spanish is my first language, and I have taught in elementary schools in addition to tutoring middle and high school students for quite some time. I enjoy helping students be able to progress in their studies.
I have also taught in Berlitz International Language School to a wide segment of the population, from LA Times to Sony Paramount Pictures.
I have three yoga certifications besides being a yoga practitioner myself. Two of those certifications are in yoga for children. One certification came from YogaKids, one of the first yoga schools for children out of Michigan City, Indiana. The other one came from YogaEd, a local yoga school, who through a grant from Nutrition Network introduced yoga principles to teachers and students alike throughout Los Angeles County. I was fortunate enough to be one of the teachers, and for two years I went to different public schools sharing yoga principles. I also taught after school yoga programs and private classes to children. Adults have also been my students since my very first certification was from the Yoga Institute in Houston, Texas, and geared towards teaching adults. I love yoga and believe that it really makes a difference in one's life.
