I enjoy Math, English, and Science, and I especially enjoy tutoring students in these subjects because I feel like I'm always learning something new as I am teaching others. In the past, I have tutored many students and seen significant improvement, and they have stayed with me for years, especially teaching TESOL students (Teaching English to Students of Other Languages) and Math/Science.

Marissa did a wonderful job with our son. She was patient and caring and very well informed. His school in the meantime opened up a session for after school tutoring for 45 min. While this is not one on one, it seems to be doing the job. I certainly would have continued to use Marissa had our situation not changed.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
Most or all of my students are from Korea. I have taught them either in TOEFL English, college English, or SAT writing and critical reading. I also have studied Korean for 8 years, in which I have studied abroad in Korea and took Korean classes passed the advanced level. So I will be able to effectively teach them since I know the grammar usages of both languages.
I have taken organic chemistry and received As in both semester. Also, I received a 23 on my DATs for organic chemistry, which means I missed 2 or 3 questions. Also, I have taught,a previous general chemistry student, organic chemistry, and so I'm still very familiar with the subject. Lastly, organic chemistry is my favorite subject.
