Sarah has been teaching voice and piano since 1993. She received her Bachelors degree in Vocal Performance from UCLA, and her Masters degree in Music Education from CSULB. She also received the Outstanding Thesis Award in 2004 from CSULB. In addition to private lessons and tutoring, she also offers monthly workshops and performance opportunities for students. She especially enjoys tutoring students in AP music theory because once they understand the concepts, it becomes exciting for them!

She has taught privately for over 20 years, but also taught music in the public school system. She is available for online tutoring sessions and weekend availability. Please contact her if you need any help with music!

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
