I have had many tutors in the past and Douglas surpassed my expectations...!!! I have never walked away understanding an assignment as well as I did after meeting with him. Douglas was easy to reach by phone and answered all of my emails. When it came time for the meeting, he was 20 minutes early. Douglas took an incomprehensible assignment and turned it into a joyful experience. He left me with a feeling of self esteem and the confidence of knowing that I am going to pass all of my classes if he stays around. Douglas even taught me a couple math formulas that I am going to use in my everyday life and he wasn't even tutoring me for math. I am glad to have met Douglas and I am going keep his contact information in a sacred place.
Jerry = More than satisfied
Always on time, patient and explain in great detail! Very pleased with decision to have Douglas as my tutor. Highly recommend Douglas D.
You are a very good tutor, I liked your session a lot. Would like to take another class with you again. Really helped on very weak spot in math. Even though I had problems with my vision you helped me a lot. You can teach well with students with disablities like me; I would recommend 5 friends to you. Not bad for the hourly rate is not too expensive.
We only spent one hour studying and yet Douglas had a good understanding of the overall assignment. I expected more detailed analysis on the worksheets presented to him. I felt the price was way too steep considering what I received from the session.
I feel that my price is reasonable, as more detailed analysis on the worksheets presented to me would have taken considerably more time than we spent, and yet would not necessarily have produced a more effective two-page paper.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
