My name is Iran Walton Jr. I have been teaching for 6 years now and I absolutely love it! I have a valid single subject Social Science credential. I have taught 6th-11th grades during my teaching career so I have a wide variety of experience with different age groups. I know how to approach students based upon their age and the intricacy of the material. I find out a student's learning style and skill level and tutor accordingly. I use comparative examples the most. I give students multiple examples from their lives that relates to the material being taught. This allows students to see things clearly. Students can see examples from their lives and how the material relates to their lives with my style of tutoring.
Passing on knowledge is what I was born to do. There's no greater feeling than explaining a topic to an individual and watching their facial expression change from one of bewilderment to I got it! It's the best feeling in the world for me. I have worked with youth from every racial, ethnic, religious and financial background. Education can be life-changing. I hope to be the tutor that changes your child's life for the better. Positivity rules! My name is Iran Walton Jr. I have been teaching for 6 years now and I absolutely love it! In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
