University of California Riverside (Chemical Engineering)
I am a recent chemical engineering graduated interested in sharing my knowledge. My academic career has had its up and downs as it has for most students. The biggest challenge I had to learn how to overcome was that I devoted TOO much time to helping my peers. I understand that sometimes students have trouble learning certain aspects but need a fresh perspective. Learning should be taught to accommodate the needs of the student to help them excel in the academia and I have tried to apply this whenever I tutor someone in any subject. I bring this up because it proves I am truly someone who will spend as much energy and time possible to help others succeed. Additionally, I have the patience necessary to go through the topics and make sure the student truly has a comfortable grasp of the material.
I love teaching students about topics that I know are challenging like math and sciences. Although I do not have any formal experience with tutoring, I have taught fellow classmates on several occasions on the topics of Chemistry, General Physics, College Algebra courses as well as many others. I have also taught younger elementary students in Elementary Math, Algebra and Chemistry. I truly enjoy feeling like I am helping others with their questions and will always try my hardest to find the best way to teach them.
Every year I find students lost in almost every class I am in. I am the type of guy that will go out of his way to help everyone out to make sure everyone is prepared for the exam by tediously teaching them from the fundamentals up until they are no longer confused. I have done this for classes such as Organic Chemistry, Calculus, Differential Equations and Physics. Students would often come to me with questions because they felt at ease with my tutoring style.
I will try my best to teach you whatever course you need an A+. I will try my best to make as much time available for your needs and will work tirelessly and gladly for you. My son has been struggling with math, herd about this app by a friend. Hired Kenneth right away and he helped my son with his math with his knowledge, creativity, and skills my son was able to understand the math so clearly. I would definitely recommend him as a tutor to friends and family. He was flexible with the hours I chose and he came right on time. He was determine to make sure my son fully understood and was very patient!
Kenneth was great. He worked patiently to help her understand a lot of material she had trouble with. Mostly Extraneous solutions and polynomials. Thanks again!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
