In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
Recently, I received an A.A.degree in Legal Studies (paralegal). I'm sure I would not have a problem helping any student who needs help with a Business Law class.
There are a lot of different aspects to business law. A small business is generally privately owned and operated with very few employees. A small business can be organized as corporations, partnerships, nonprofits or sole proprietorship. Corporate and business law collectively govern all aspects of run-ning a business, incorporating consumer law, contract law, employment law, environmental law, insurance law, intellectual property law, finance law and tax law.
When I came to CA in 2004 with my teaching credentials from Illinois, I was told that in order to teach in CA, I needed to take and pass the CBEST within a year.
I took and passed the CBEST.
Since I have taken and passed the CBEST, I am familiar with the types of questions that appear on the test. I feel that I would be able to help any student who needs to take this exam and pass it, in order to teach in CA.

Microsoft Outlook is mail software (sending and receiving mail). Although mainly as an e-mail application, it also provides for a calendar, task and contact management, note taking, a journal and web browsing. It can be used as a stand-alone application on your home computer. It can also operate in conjunction with Microsoft Exchange Server for multiple users in an organization, such as shared mailboxes and calendars, public folders and meeting time allocation. I have worked for organizations where Microsoft Outlook was used for e-mail.
The main purpose of MS PowerPoint is to enable the user to create dynamic, informational slide shows through the use of text, graphics, and animation. Slide shows created with the software are displayed on projection screens for business, training, or educational presentations, and they can be distributed as stand-alone files. Also, the slides can be arranged and printed as handouts for reference.
With Microsoft PowerPoint, you can make charts, tables, and macros, and insert images, audio, video, and other multimedia files.

For many years, I taught in the elementary grades where phonics instruction was stressed during reading time. Many of the children in my classes had special needs where learning to read was very challenging. I used many of my own materials including flashcards, charts, phonics workbooks, and games to help the students improve their skills. To all parents, I stressed the importance of reading to their children so their reading skills would be improved. I also suggested time be set aside for them to listen to their children read.
I have done proofreading for other students in recent months. They passed their courses with flying colors. A fresh set of eyes always helps whether the paper is a long or short one.
