Hi there!

For the last 1.5 years I have been back in school preparing for a Master's in Science program in Nursing at the University of California Irvine. I have a 4.0 grade point average in all of my undergraduate science classes (anatomy, microbiology, physiology, pharmacology, inorganic and organic chemistry). Throughout this time, I have had the pleasure of tutoring many students and groups from Irvine Valley College and Saddleback College in statistics, organic chemistry, microbiology and physiology. Helping students learn subjects they are struggling with has been gratifying. I subscribe to the philosophy of open mindset learning. All this requires is that a student does not approach the subject as impossible, but keeps an open mind. This is especially important in the sciences as many students have one or two discouraging experiences and move forward thinking they are unable to learn the material. Almost everyone CAN learn most material with the right teacher and willingness to try.

I love statistics! I took statistics at Butler University and at Saddleback College. This has been one of my preferred subjects to tutor because most students need just a little extra help to gain the confidence they need successfully complete this subject. I have a statistics student this semester at Saddleback College that was failing the course and has improved 2 letter grades in 6 weeks. My typical approach to teaching statistics is to determine the student's level of statistics comprehension, and then design a plan with the student according to their needs and time frame required.

Human Physiology is my favorite course to tutor. If you decide to take further science classes, everything you learn in physiology will help you better understand the material. I was the top student in my physiology class at Saddleback College and have the endorsement of my professor to tutor others in this course. Physiology is also a great course to take tutoring sessions as a group.

Currently, I am tutoring a few students at Saddleback College. If you are looking for help finishing your semester strong, let me know and we will work out a plan to improve your grade and get you ready for final exams. My schedule is flexible and I will respond quickly. Good luck!
