While obtaining my B.S. in Biology, I played 3 years of collegiate basketball and received full scholarships during those years. I began playing basketball in middle school and fell in love with the game of basketball. I trained day in and day out throughout high school and college to become the best player that I could be. Along the way, I received some of the best training not only pertaining to basketball, but also in becoming a better athlete. With basketball, there are many aspects of the game that demand proper attention in order for one to efficiently compete in organized basketball. Although I am 6'5", (which may seem tall but is probably an average height for most division 1 collegiate teams), I did not get recruited to play in college because I was the tallest, quickest, or could jump the highest. I was able to compete because I trained hard, smart, and learned to become a skillful player.
By absorbing all of the training that I received over the years, I was able to apply it to game situations and learn to let my training take over. By learning the fundamentals of shooting, dribbling, footwork, etc., you can take your game to the next level and bring out your best potential. Although my playing days are over, I have a respect and appreciation for those that want to get better at becoming both a better athlete and basketball player. As one can see, I have a passion when it comes to learning the game of basketball and I want to share it with others! In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
Out of high school I was a top 20 recruit out of the LA area and went on to play 3 years of college basketball. I have had hundreds, if not thousands of hours of training from coaches of affiliation to the NBA or collegiate basketball. In the past I have worked with several people to help transform their game, ranging from children to young adults.
Fitness has always been a major part of my life and I have always had a passion for staying healthy. Being a former athlete, where I was competing with some of the best players in the country, required me to make sure that I was in the best shape of life. During my playing career, I was put through training and hundreds of drills that I had not been exposed to during high school. These specialized workouts help transform me into a better player, and also a better athlete.
