I have over 20 years of experience with computer hardware and software. I am a former Microsoft consultant (9 years) where my role was to teach the Microsoft customers how to apply Microsoft technology to their business needs, and to teach them how to use the database and network tools.
I have worked with mainframes, Unix servers, Windows servers, Windows desktop, Macs, tablet computers and smart phone hardware. I am a certified Microsoft SQL database administrator and network engineer.
My tutoring style is to help you understand how the hardware and software work, so that I can help you learn to do your work using computer systems.
I also have subject matter expertise in healthcare systems and financial systems.
In my spare time I sail my 30 foot sailboat, currently docked in Long Beach Shoreline Marina.
I enjoy working with people who like to learn.
I look forward to working with you!

My husband and I run a business with several employees all working out of their home and we have no one that is great with IT. Sharon has been able to answer many of our IT problems. I did not know where to locate someone like this and thanks to WyzAnt I was able to find her. She is knowledgeable with software, hardware, and can also help us with our website regarding SEO. Thank you Sharon I am so glad that I found you!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
