Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Chemistry

I have a PhD in Chemistry. I have also tutored general chemistry.

Geometry

I'm a chemical engineering major and took a lot of math. I have enough hours to be a math major.

Organic Chemistry

I have a PhD in organic chemistry from Texas A&M University. I conducted research in the laboratory of Dr. Daniel Singleton. I have taught organic chemistry laboratory for chemistry majors and non-majors. I have tutored non-majors. I prefer to tutor someone that is taking organic chemistry because they need it for their curriculum because I want them to succeed, to get through the course, and hopefully they can take something away with them. I also enjoy teaching about how organic chemistry relates to the students' field of study. It allows me to relate and conceptualize things in order for the student to have a better understanding.

Spanish

I have spent a lot of time in Mexico and I have a lot of knowledge of the customs, cultures, and regions. My specialty is accents and tonics. I love determining if a word needs an accent.
