Welcome to my profile! My name is Alison, and I'm a current Resident Physician. I obtained my bachelor's degree in Biology from Duke University in 2017 and my medical degree from University of California San Diego in 2022. I have over 10 years of tutoring experience at various tutoring companies and college campuses. My most tutored subjects are in K-12 math and biology (all levels). In addition, I provide MCAT tutoring and personalized services related to medical school admissions (e.g. interview practice, personal statement editing, etc.).

I am a firm believer that every student is capable of mastering a topic, no matter how difficult the concept. In the past 10 years, I have learned to break down complex ideas into a digestible format, and I am committed to crafting lessons individualized to a student's learning style. My strengths are in easily identifying student weaknesses and helping my students gain confidence in a subject through dedicated practice. Throughout college and medical school, I have gathered several educational resources, including textbooks, workbooks, homework assignments, and lecture notes, which I provide to students to boost their understanding of the material.

great tutor

This was my son’s first session - he thought it was very worthwhile and she presented the info clearly. He has now had 2 lessons with her and the 2nd one was on chemistry. He finished this lesson and said he felt very comfortable with the material
