De Anza College
Hello all potential students!
I'm currently an undergraduate student at UCSD majoring in Electrical Engineering. I have been tutoring high school math for 4 years in Vietnam and also the US. I have taught Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Trigonometry and AP Calculus AP for my friends at high school and college. I got a 5 in my AP cal AP test. Now, I was a math tutor at Deanza College for 2 years. The way I teach very friendly and simple that make math easy for you! I am a patient person and I try to understand each student's needs and what they will need to be most successful. If you try to do a math problem the most important thing is "thinking." I always try to make my student become a thinker for every problem. I built my math skill at a professional math school in Vietnam so that when I came here, math just a easy subject for me. I got 99 percent on my AP Cal class and help all my friend overcome every problem!
If you are interested in me for a tutor, I will try my best to help you overcome every problem you struggle with! Hello all potential students!

Thank you Anh M. for the tutoring. My son had many tutors before, but he likes Anh M. the most. Anh M. explains straight forward the main problems, with details. He is well prepared the lessons for what to teach and planned the target for accomplishment through the summer. According to my son, Anh M. is very easy to understand.
Hello. So last Saturday, I had my first session with Anh. Because I only had one session, this is just an initial thoughts. Overall, Anh is a great tutor. This first session, he taught me about 3-D vectors and points (stuff like that). Last week (Monday to Friday), my teacher was teaching my class the concepts and how to do the problems. However, she was not very clear and did not thoroughly explain how to do the problems or any of the concepts. All in all, I was completely lost. Later on, Anh was able to clarify the topics so I understood what was going on. On Wednesday (3/3/15), I had a quiz on the 3-D vectors, points (that stuff) and I feel pretty confident (I was able to finish all the problems without feeling lost). I think Anh is a great tutor and I highly recommend him.
Anh is a good teacher. He explains things easily and helps me understand materials better, according to my 13 year old high school freshman taking Algebra 2. I think it's true since my son's grade is improving! Also I think Anh is patient and a good guy.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
It will become an easy test if you know the rules.
