My passion for teaching math started at Westview High School, where I volunteered as an after-school tutor. I love teaching because helping students improve and achieve their academic goals is very rewarding. I strive to help students become independent learners through building confidence in mastering the material. I engage and motivate students through providing positive feedback and encouragement. I tailor my teaching approach to the student's unique learning preference, and I encourage strong study habits that the students will retain throughout their academic careers and beyond.

I live in the University City neighborhood of San Diego, and enjoy swing dancing, live music, and reading about science and current events.

Helped Me Pass My Algebra Midterm

The day before my algebra midterm I still had a bunch of unanswered questions, so I quickly found a tutor to be able to help me. While Daniel and I only had a short hour and answered about half of the questions I had, I was able to remember formulas he showed me and other things he had taught me and passed with an 84%. I probably would've gotten a C or even lower if I hadn't had a lesson with him.

Good tutor. Works with you and doesn't get frustrated.

Daniel went over hypothesis testing and was very good at explaining the process. Has no issue with explaining the process in different ways in order to make sure that you understand what you are doing. Good knowledge of external technology and showing you how to use it in order to get the proper result.
