About Aris

I enjoy tutoring and seeing my students succeed in their classes. I have tutored for over 5 years and successfully helped students master Economics, English, Math, Essay Writing, Public Speaking and abstract concepts with confidence.

Subjects Areas I Tutor:

English - Writing, Reading, Pronunciation, Vocabulary, Essay writing
Math - Agebra, Elementary Math, Arithmetic
Economics - Macro & Micro Economics
US Government
Professional & Computer Skills

I've tutored English, Mathematics and an array of topics for over 4 years now.

I earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from University of California Irvine and successfully completed a minor in Information and Computer Science. While I was studying Economics and Computer Science, I began to work as a teacher's assistant for Academic English professors within the Humanities Department. My tutoring experience began with facilitating in-class instruction, and later tutoring students in one-on-one sessions to overcome their challenges.

My success in tutoring English speech is due to my own background of interacting with family who spoke English as a second language. I understand the challenges new speakers face when they are making public presentations or holding casual conversation. For these sessions it is best to work one-on-one where we can get to the underlying challenges a student is facing and help them find a solution.

I also have gained experience tutoring mathematics and Java programming during my time in college. I would help my fellow classmates understand the latest lecture material, learn to program, and help them grasp abstract concepts.

Many of the students I worked with often needed help with public speaking. I have plenty of experience in facing an audience, and helped them in developing successful presentations. I have helped my students prepare for research presentations, classroom presentations, and business meetings. I have spoken before crows of over 700 people, and debated at the national level.

I loved helping students grow their skills and confidence. Please feel free to message me if you have any questions or would like to schedule a session. I look forward to hearing from you.
