I started tutoring Math back when I was pursuing my Master's at California State University, Los Angeles and since then I have discovered the art of real satisfaction is when the students you have tutored come back to you with higher grades and thank you for all the hard work you have put in with them.

I started tutoring Math back when I was pursuing my Master's at California State University, Los Angeles and since then I have discovered the art of real satisfaction is when the students you have tutored come back to you with higher grades and thank you for all the hard work you have put in with them.

I am a guy with immense patience and always eager to help out students facing difficulties in problem solving in Math.

My main focus is to create a very friendly environment on 1 to 1 sessions so that the student can open up with me and we can analyze the difficult areas and help the improve their grades.

I have a knack for solving complex mathematics problems that most of the people seem to avoid.

I started tutoring in the Center of Tutoring Cal State at Los Angeles students in electrical engineering and mathematics courses-courses (Math 90, 91, 100 102 & 104) which students find to be very challenging. I tutored students both individually and in small groups, to succeed in their courses. Even though a Master’s degree holder in Electrical Engineering, I believe tutoring increased my knowledge and understanding of courses in my discipline and developed my ability to patiently, clearly and effectively communicate this knowledge to others. I am a responsible person who displays an enthusiasm both for teaching and for learning and is always striving to continue to increase his knowledge, understanding, and skills by helping out other students. I am a self-starter who is able to set realistic goals with the students in need and then achieve them.

Working in the University Tutorial Center for close to 2 years has provided me with much experience working and interacting with students, staff and faculty whose backgrounds reflect a broad cultural and ethnic diversity. I like to accept various challenges and always strives to do my very best to help students improve their grades.

Subjects

Homeschool

Algebra 1,

Algebra 1

I taught this subject for many years and can lecture entire curriculum by memory. I know of the common mistakes students make in applying many of the concepts. I can also teach tips and tricks that will facilitate mastery of the topics. I had linear algebra as a requirement for engineering major. I passed the class with A and I also have the experience of tutoring this subject at the learning center of my past college. I believe that I am highly qualified to share my knowledge with others in this regard.
Algebra 2,

Algebra 2

My major area of concentration, starting early on in high school, was mathematics. I excelled in it and enjoyed it. It was a major determinant in my choice of college major and ultimately building a career in Electrical / Electronics Engineering. As such, Algebra 2 ranks among the easiest math subjects to teach for me since it is one of the basic building blocks that you build other subjects on such as geometry & trigonometry.
Geometry,

Geometry

I enjoy Geometry and excelled in both Plane (two-dimensional) and Spatial (three-dimensional) Geometry. This helped me tremendously in mastering Calculus since it is used so extensively there. Since I always had a strong inclination to logic and structure I really enjoyed learning how to prove theorems and develop proofs. If anyone is struggling with these concepts I can remove any obstacle from their path and teach them these principals.
Prealgebra

Prealgebra

Looking at my qualifications in other math subjects, it would be easy to see why teaching Prealgebra is so second nature for me. After all, without becoming an expert at this I could not have progressed to Algebra, Geometry & Trigonometry Please see the narrative of my qualifications for these subjects to see why I would consider myself as an expert at Prealgebra.

Language

Hindi

Hindi

As I was originally born and raised in India, Hindi is my native language. Since I came to the US after I had already attended school and college in India my mastery of the language was already at the graduate level. As such, not only can I read, write, and speak Hindi, I can teach it effectively to whomever would be interested in taking it as far as they desire including Hindi penmanship and literature at which I excelled.

Trigonometry

During my bachelors and my Maters I had a very detailed exposure to Trigonometry and thereby I gained expertise in Trigonometry and like solving complex Trigonometry problem and working with the Trigonometry identities.
