Cal State Fullerton (B.F.A. Photography)
I just graduated with a B.F.A. in photography Spring 2015. It's a conceptual program, but I'm a pretty technical person, so I have a good grounding in both respects of making images. I was busy with portraits and real estate type of work a couple years before attending CSUF, and I've been recently working on my video skills. Most of my expertise lies in photography and Photoshop dealing with RAW images, but I have experience with Premiere Pro and After Effects as well. Aside from the software, I have experience with film-based photography as well, and a variety of modern and classic cameras and lenses, including large format view cameras.
I am a photographer, but I can draw out designs and have some background in painting. Photography is also deeply rooted in the same base artistic skills used for other art forms, such as color theory and composition. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
Lightroom is primarily a tool for organizing photographs, and I've spent years becoming proficient with that editing toolset.
I have years of experience using photoshop primarily for processing photographs. I do composites and image manipulations as well, but my primary experience is in RAW processing.
I've spent years in darkrooms for my photography degree. Both schools I went to were still adamant about the relevance of film. I also have experience with large format film photography on 4x5 (and by extension 8x10) film cameras.
I have been taking photographs for the last six years, and have recently graduated with a B.F.A. in photography. One of my projects involved compositing nearly fifty photographs of individuals into large 200 megapixel images.
