About Isaac

My name is Isaac, a native Spanish speaker with four years of teaching experience.

I learned Spanish as a child, and have been instructed in bilingual classes throughout my K-12 education. While in high school, I passed both of the Spanish Advanced Placement (AP) tests with a score of 5.

I graduated magna cum laude from UCI with two bachelor’s degrees one in Criminology and the other in Spanish. My experience lies predominantly in Spanish, but I am also vested in core middle school and high school subjects. My experience comes from teaching curriculum-based Spanish speaking, reading, and writing from level 1 to college courses. Outside of a school curriculum, I created and implement a series of lesson plans that serve as a foundation for the language. Furthermore, I am experienced in teaching and interpreting for professionals in the corporate, medical, and legal fields.

I am the tutor you have been looking for! If you have any questions, please message me.

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Spanish

Studying Spanish during K-12 and receiving a B.A. in Spanish have prepared me as an instructor in my native language. Over 800 hours experience teaching all levels of Spanish.
