Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I have 7 years of programming experience. In particular, I have used Java & C++ extensively to create video games and object-oriented programs.

Computer Science

I received a degree in Software Engineering, a branch of Computer Science, in 2010. I have a solid working knowledge of many programming languages including but not limited to Java, C#, C++, & VB. I have been playing guitar for 10 years and have taught over 25 students from ages 6-50 to play. I have a solid understanding of musical theory, chord progressions, scales, modes, arpeggios, and techniques that I very much enjoy teaching aspiring musicians or just those looking to pick up a rewarding new hobby.

Music History

I have completed a college level course and two high school courses in Music History. I have studied everything from the Baroque Era, through the Classical, and Romantic Eras, but I specialize in contemporary and new age music. I have a great deal of knowledge about the blues, classic rock, ska, reggae, hip-hop, funk, & alternative music.

I have been taking photographs since I was a teenager and completed a Photography course in high school. I have a good working knowledge of 35mm cameras, having worked with and Ashanti Pentax for several years.
