I grew up speaking the Italian language with my native parents in upstate New York. When I was seven we returned to Italy where I had the opportunity to attend school until age 14. I speak and write Italian fluently and welcome the opportunity to share my love for the Italian language and culture.
I love speaking Italian whenever I can, and tutoring is the natural extension of that joy. I bring to the table a learning environment that is fun, rewarding and educational. My teaching style is very casual and informative. In the past I have enjoyed tutoring students that wished to improve their Italian language skills for their personal enjoyment, vacation plans, or business trips to Italy. I have worked with adults as well as teens. As to my experience with teenagers and young adults, I have three of my own.
I am an attorney with my own law practice in Irvine. I have an excellent rapport with a diverse client base where I successfully explain complex points of law in novice terms to adults. I have given many seminars and one on one “teaching sessions.” My own law practice also allows me to have flexible hours and pursue my joy of teaching. As a dual citizen, I look forward to sharing my love of the Italian language and culture with you.

Studied examples of the Neapolitan language, worked on the translations and meanings, and the origins of the words. Dominic has a rich depth of knowledge regarding this beautiful, but unfortunately, fading language.
Dominic is the BEST - I look forward to our weekly Italian lesson. He makes learning fun and interesting!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
