Melanie worked with me on interviewing techniques, how to answer questions, what to say and what not to say, and what questions to ask during the interview. We discussed my strengths and how to verbalize those during the interview. She taught me how to research on LinkedIn a company and the individuals with whom I will be interviewing. We also discussed relaxation techniques prior to the interview and how to get myself in the right frame of mind going into the interview. She was very resourceful and encouraging. I left there feeling I am on the right track and now I am armed with some specific strategies to finding my next employer.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
