I love math and I would love to impart that same appreciation of numbers to you!

I have tutored many age levels, subjects, and in different settings:

I love math and I would love to impart that same appreciation of numbers to you!

I have tutored many age levels, subjects, and in different settings:
K-College; Sylvan, Kumon, the Supplemental Instruction program at USC, and a pro bono community center; friends, coworkers, and relatives; math (up to calculus), reading, writing, Spanish, etc.

Everybody sees the world from a different perspective. I will find the illustration that makes the concept click for you! I have used physical blocks, ninja star word problems, and whatever else was needed to get the idea across.

I am also a skilled communicator. I have written key portions of winning business proposals, prepared and presented many briefings to the customer, and scored a 770 out of 800 on the verbal section of the SAT.

I earned a BA in mathematics, magna cum laude. I was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa, Phi Kappa Phi, and Alpha Lambda Delta honor societies. My MA is in applied mathematics.

I also have 16 years (and counting) of experience at a major aerospace firm (I can give specifics when you contact me, but for operational security reasons I avoid details in online postings). My job involves extensive use of advanced math and computer programming. I can make the subject come alive for you, since I use it every day!

You can do some truly amazing things with math. Let's get started!
