Hi! My name is Krista and have a ton of experience in the education field. I previously was a certified athletic trainer in which I subbed and tutored on the side. Once I had my son in 2012, I decided I would rather spend more time at home. I still continued to tutor through a tutor company and I substitute taught grades k-12. Not only do I have my Bachelor's of Arts degree in sport sciences, but a Master's of education in instruction and curriculum as well. I absolutely love subbing and helping those students strive and grow in a conducive learning environment. I am mostly capable of tutoring subject grades 1-6, as those are where my strengths are at their highest. I have successfully tutored six different children privately and also through learning rx. I truly hope you will consider me as your child's learning advocate as I will be completely dedicated in seeing them succeed. :)
Throughout my high school, undergraduate, and graduate studies, I have always excelled in grammar and reading and absolutely love it. I have no doubt I could substantially increase your child's weaknesses in this domain.
I would make an excellent elementary tutor as that is where most of my background has come from. After having been a substitute teacher for over six years, I am very well rounded in all elementary subjects.
I worked for two years in a program called Learning Rx. While there, I tutored students extensively in phonics, word annunciation, word attack, etc. Every single student I had produced outstanding post results.
So that you are able to get to know me a bit better, I am a mom of two beautiful children-, 5 months and 3 years old. I have a loving husband who I have been married to for almost six years and consider myself to be so blessed. I am interested and looking to tutor part time so that I can still work but then also spend time with my kiddos while they are so young. My schedule is pretty flexible- other than Fridays from 9-12. I sincerely look forward to hearing from you and working with your child!! Hi! My name is Krista and have a ton of experience in the education field. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
