Bio

I've been tutoring ever since I was in middle school & I'm currently a Physics graduate student at CSULB. With my open schedule, finding a time that works perfectly for you is easy. I'm happy to provide at-home tutoring. If price is an issue, accommodations can be made.

I love working with peers and students and have always felt personally invested in each student I have helped. I've been tutoring since I was in middle school and during high school. Messages that I get from my students letting me know how well they've been performing is all it takes to make my day. I will do anything I can within my power to make sure my students succeed.

The years I've spent tutoring others helps me relate and empathize with countless students of many backgrounds and has helped me develop a breadth of experience. When it comes to juggling academics with extracurriculars, I know exactly how they feel as I have been there. I am currently a full time student at CSULB and have tutored at CSULB's tutoring/assistance center, assisting undergraduates with courses I've experienced myself.

A little about me: I grew up in California and Las Vegas throughout my years of primary education. I graduated high school maintaining a 4.0 GPA, all while juggling varsity football, marching band, math club, and volunteer work. I graduated in 2016 with my bachelor's in Physics and am continuing on with my master's degree. I am currently in working on acquiring my teaching credential and will be expecting to complete the program in Spring 2017.

Elementary (K-6th)

I worked with Kumon for 3 years teaching in a classroom style with up to 6 students at once and also having individual lessons as well. I provided education in math, reading, and social studies for students K-12, ages ranging from 4-17. I know how to reach students how to read and develop the ability to read with proficiency (context clues, reading ahead, etc) and I know how to guide students through elementary math.

Algebra 2,

Algebra 2

I have been a tutor ever since I started high school and I can say that Algebra 2/Trig is my most comfortable math subject. It's the subject I have the most experience in tutoring and also one of the most requested subjects, while being one of the most difficult classes in High School. I possess a wide understanding to which approach is the most useful to accommodate each student. Throughout my years of experience, I've learned how to provide a variety of methods that best suit the student to tackle problems with efficiency.

Geometry,

Geometry

Geometry has always been an easy subject for me to instruct because the specific formulas and methodical approaches that are utilized to solve the situations and problems are easy to relate to real and applicable forms of instruction. Pulling apart word problems and getting students to understand how to perform proofs are the most taxing parts of the subject and I help student break it down slowly and comfortably.
Physics,

Physics

I chose to major in Physics after taking Physics in high school during my junior year. The breadboxes, speakers, concepts and formulas flowed through my brain like blood does to a heart, and it was my calling. I'm excellent in preparing the student to fully grasp all aspects of physics whether it's problems with concepts, formulas, or calculations. If the student doesn't understand it one way, I can explain it a million other ways to have the student familiarize it and absorb the material.
Precalculus,

Precalculus

I have been a tutor ever since I started high school and am a tutor at CSULB's Learning Assistance Center. With my 4 years in Calculus, I'm able to approach a single problem with a multitude of different methods to accommodate many students.

I took Nutrition 132 at CSULB during my Spring semester of 2014. I am currently a full time physics student at CSULB and have tutored at CSULB's tutoring/assistance center. I utilized a supplementary online course and choosemyplate.gov to understand the national needs and recommendations, as well as observing my own diet. I received an A in the course and am currently living within the standards I set and learned from the course. I have tutored this subject to a student who could not make it to any of the lectures with the notes I took in class and provided during our sessions.
