Crafton Community College (Science)
University of Redlands (EdD)
I am a highly skilled, veteran teacher with more than 20 years classroom experience. As a student a University of Redlands I tutored college students in both Physics and English, (at the request of my professors), and have taught in both Rialto Unified and Colton-Jurupa Unified School Districts for several years.
I am credentialed in CA with a multiple subjects degree and have a supplementary authorization to teach English and Social Sciences to students from Kindergarten to College. I love teaching/learning and am very adept at identifying my students' strengths and areas of concern.
My time as a substitute teacher required adaptability, diversity, and a general knowledge of every subject. I am easy-going, but disciplined, enthusiastic & encouraging. I hold students to a high standard of conduct, require full participation, and expect that my efforts will be matched by learners and their support system. I will travel, bringing lessons to you, within a 20 mile radius of my home and allow cancellations within a 24 hour notice.
My love of Physical Science, years teaching it in my own classroom, and tutoring experience make me a uniquely qualified instructor of this subject and all Sciences as well as all core studies.
Let me teach you to work smarter, not harder! Together we will identify your strengths and improve your learning and test-taking skills while making you a more confident and proficient student. I look forward to helping you/your child become a successful scholar. I am a highly skilled, veteran teacher with more than 20 years classroom experience. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
